LIVE MUSIC
In 2005, after a few years of jamming, writing, and recording music, my longtime friend Andrew Fontaine and I decided it was time to see if we could make a go of it busking on the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD. We only had a playlist of about ten songs, but before long the crowds and tips started showing up, so we knew we were onto something.
The following fall, we landed our first paid gig at the Judge's Bench in Old Ellicott City armed with a few more pieces of equipment and a few more tunes.
Not long after that, we decided that we needed a name. Since our heart and soul was—and still is—learning and arranging our favorite songs to fit our small size and musical style, the name 'the arrangement' (stylized in lower case letters, please) seemed like the perfect fit.
To date, we have played well over a hundred gigs, as well as dozens of private parties and weddings for which we offer clients an alternating mix of live music and DJ/MC services.
We still play regularly around town, and thanks to a shared passion for music and our incredibly supportive families, venues, and fans, it doesn't look like we'll be hanging it up any time soon.
