ACTING

Acting and studying the craft of acting is another of my many passions. I relish the work of discovering and finding a character, and there is absolutely nothing like connecting with an audience, whether the work is live or onscreen.

From childhood into my young adult years, I have acted in numerous stage productions, playing the lead role in about half of them. After a year or two as a theater major, I was told by my undergraduate advisor—one of two theater professors who helmed the department—that I was one of the best actors to come through the program. He even offered to help me pursue graduate or professional work after graduation. Although I chose another career path, his words still encourage me to keep this part of myself alive.

These days, it is hard to find the time to get back on a stage somewhere, so I keep my acting chops polished by studying up on actors I admire and stretching myself with voice work whenever I can.
